Water Harvesting and Management
"If you only do one thing, collect rainwater." - Bill Mollison

Good permaculture design requires good water management. Swales and pocket ponds are our preferred earthworks for storing and redistributing rainwater on the landscape.

Most of the time they can be hand dug, but occasionally the terrain requires mechanized equipment.

If drainage is your issue, we use keyline plowing, french drains, and additional earthworks on or off-contour to aid with infiltration and water diversion.

A site assessment will determine the best course of action for your property.
